that women are more people-oriented leaders than men. Are women
more people-oriented and greater believers in �participative�
management? There is only one definitive answer and it is not
particularly satisfying. That answer is -- �it depends.� Many

basis for assuming that gender has a direct influence on
leadership style. Others researchers are convinced that female
leaders are more concerned about interpersonal relationships and
use a more democratic and participative leadership style than do
